Google said “has not completed the Google verification process”? The app is still in Testing. Open Audience in the project you made, choose Publish app and confirm, then Connect again. Google will warn the app isn't verified: choose Advanced ▸ Go to … (unsafe). It's your own app.

Google asks every app for its own sign-in client. Once, about five minutes:

      1. Create a Google Cloud project (any name, e.g. Ratchet).
      2. Enable the Google Calendar API for it.
      3. OAuth consent screen: External, app name Ratchet, your email. Then, under Audience, Publish app. Left in Testing, Google blocks the sign-in ("has not completed the Google verification process") and cuts access every 7 days. No review is needed for your own use: when connecting, Google warns the app isn't verified; choose Advanced ▸ Go to … (unsafe).
      4. Create an OAuth client ID: type Web application, and add this as an authorized redirect URI:
      5. Paste the client ID and secret it shows you:
